Tonga vs Cook Islands Live Stream. United States will be paying close attention to tonight's game in Leigh.
The USA had been scheduled to leave the UK this Saturday but are now preparing for a shock quarter-final clash with Australia should Tonga win tonight.
Even if the Cook Islands are victorious this evening, the United States team will still progress should they win their final group game.
Tonga's shock defeat by Scotland has left them needing to win both their last two group games to have a chance of staying in the competition.
Cook Islands have confirmed that changes will be made to their starting line-up
Coach David Fairleigh brings in Toulouse stand-off Jonathan Ford to partner Isaac John, with Brad Takairangi switching to centre in place of Wigan's Anthony Gelling.
Sydney Roosters' Chris Taripo and Eko Malu of New Zealand Warriors will also feature.
What they've said ahead of the game:
Tonga captain Brent Kite: "There's no excuses. We weren't good enough. But we'll be wanting to put that right against the Cook Islands at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday. We're looking forward to that game now."
Sika Manu (Tonga): "It was really tough against Scotland but we put ourselves in the situation. We let Scotland get on top of us in the first half and that left us playing catch-up football in the second half, so it was tough but we brought it on ourselves.
"The coach gave us a bit of a rocket in half time and we knew we had to come out and play tough as soon as the whistle blew. I thought we did well in the second half but we had to start well.
"I definitely think we have got a lot more in the tank for the rest of the tournament. Today was our first run in a while so hopefully next game against Cook Islands we will start better and continue for the whole 80 minutes."
